Sonia Ulrich as “The Logistician” in “Not Just For A Time, Not Just For An Age”

Voice Actor. Improviser. Dog Mom.

Sonia started her life behind the mic on the radio. She was an on air personality in San Francisco in the late 90’s and early 00’s. She went by several names (Sonia James! Sandra Beach!) was on several stations doing mostly traffic, news and sports (KNBR, KFOG, KSAN, KQED, KBLX, and more).

At one point, she asked around about doing commercials, since she was already on the radio. “Well, you have to take an improv class if you want to do that.”

So she did. And she didn’t stop.

Eventually, Sonia left her radio career (and her famous sign off “KNBR 68…THEEEEEE Sports Leader”) behind, moved to New York where she continued to do improv, took acting classes at the Atlantic Theater Company, and concurrently launched her career as a personal trainer.

She moved to Los Angeles, did even more improv, survived the pandemic and came full circle to get behind the mic, once again!

Sonia is still in L.A., married to a fabulous woman, raising a son and an American Bulldog/Pit/Lovebug mix. She also plays flag football in a Queer She/They league and is obsessed with Angel City FC.
